Become a Massage Therapist
We are happy to announce that FDI now offers a 500-clock hour Massage Therapy Program. Florida Dermal Institute is licensed by the Florida Department of Education, the Florida Board of Massage Therapy& the Department of Business & Professional Regulation. We offer a hybrid approach to learning. Students complete a portion of their program online (theory) and complete clincials on campus where they will learn the hands-on skills necessary for licensure and employment.
Program Overview
Our massage therapy program at Florida Dermal Institute is developed with a strong focus on therapeutic techniques, anatomy and physiology, human body systems, and more! Our massage therapy program will
Orientation to the field of massage therapy and the history of massage. We take students through human body systems, anatomy and physiology, professional ethics, kinesiology, and basic Swedish massage with clinical practicum in a classroom environment. This foundation is crucial to make sure our students understand the impacts each treatment has on their clients. We continue to expand on concepts such as oriental massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial, deep tissue, athletic/sports massage, lymphatic massage & more. Additionally, we focus on making sure each student is prepared for licensure as part of their journey of becoming a licensed massage therapist.
